Cookies

This site uses a small, homemade analytics system that I built myself — not Google Analytics, not a third-party tracker, and not an ad network. It runs entirely on this site's own server functions and only ever talks to jennyhalseid.com.

Three first-party cookies are used, and that's all:

• _sp_vid — a random ID (no personal information) so a repeat visit within a year can be counted as the same visitor rather than a new one.
• _sp_notice_dismissed — remembers that you've closed this cookie notice, so it doesn't show again.
• _sp_exclude — an opt-out flag: if this is set, visits aren't counted at all.

No names, emails, or other personal data are collected. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties, and there are no ads or ad trackers anywhere on this site. The data collected — page views, rough visit duration, country, and device type — is used only to understand which pages get read and where visitors are coming from.
